Preventing illness starts with getting the right information to the right people. Matoso Clinic’s public health teams work tirelessly in surrounding villages and gathering places to share advice on disease prevention, maternal health, vaccination campaigns and other critical health issues. To ensure our outreach workers are heard loud and clear, we need a new Public Address (PA) system. Our current system of a generator and speakers is failing rapidly and must be replaced, allowing our health teams to continue to mobile-broadcast critical health announcements across crowded marketplaces, community grounds, and outdoor meetings.

When a mother enters the maternity ward at Matoso Clinic, she should feel confident that her healthcare team has every tool needed to deliver her baby safely. Yet, during critical procedures—from delicate routine exams to unexpected nighttime deliveries—our midwifes and nurses work under insufficient lighting. Safe deliveries require clear vision.

A modern, high-intensity examination lamp isn't a luxury—it is a critical safety requirement. Proper medical lighting allows our clinical staff to spot complications, perform accurate examinations, and deliver emergency procedures with precision.

At the Matoso Clinic, the observation room is a critical space where patients receive post-procedure recovery, fluids, and continuous monitoring. It is a place where individuals are often at their most vulnerable.
Currently, the observation room lacks a proper privacy screen. Patients receiving care are left exposed to passersby, staff, and other patients in the room. Healing begins with dignity. A simple, medical-grade privacy screen transforms the care environment instantly. It grants patients the personal space, confidentiality, and respect they deserve while receiving medical treatment.

Remember the last time you had to climb on the exam table at the doctor's office? Wouldn't it be nice to have a modern, metal step stool instead of a rickety old wooden one? The Matoso clinic needs 4 new step stools to meet modern medical standards and improve patient care.

At the Chiri Children's Home in the highlands of Ethiopia, mealtimes are about more than just nutrition. They are a time for our 30+ children to gather as a family, share stories of their school day and find community. However, we simply do not have enough chairs for all our children and many of our current chairs are old and broken, leaving children without a proper seat during meals. To proivde a dignified and comfortable environment, we will purchase 20 locally-made wooden chairs.

At the Chiri Children’s Home, every child has a story, a medical history, and a path toward a brighter future. Currently, those vital records—along with our essential financial and management documents—lack a secure, organized home. We are seeking funding to purchase new, heavy-duty filing cabinets to safeguard the information that keeps our home running.

At the Chiri Children’s Home, we provide a sanctuary where children can play, learn, and grow without fear. However, our current perimeter is no longer enough to provide the protection they deserve. We urgently need to install secure fencing around the back and sides of our compound to address growing security concerns.
Currently, unauthorized individuals can easily enter the compound. This compromises the privacy of our children and the security of our shared resources. Also, without a defined, secure boundary, our caregivers must be on high alert every second to ensure curious little ones don't wander off the property. Installation of durable, high-quality perimeter fencing will provide a clear and secure barrier for our Chiri property.

Our healthcare team at the Agaro Bushi Medium Clinic works tirelessly to provide life-saving care to this remote community in Ethiopia. Thanks to your ongoing support, we have successfully expanded our staff housing—but there is one critical piece missing. Our newly expanded staff house currently lacks reliable power and lighting. Proper lighting ensures safe and dignified living conditions for our staff. We are raising funds to install a robust electrical system, including energy-efficient lighting and backup solutions to combat frequent outages.

The dedicated team at Agaro Bushi Medium Clinic routinely steps out past the clinic walls to bring lifesaving health education to the local community. From teaching hygiene and sanitation to preventing infectious diseases, preventive care is one of our strongest tools to keep families healthy. Promotional materials, such as t-shirts, hats, booklets and items needed to perform healthcare skits in the markets and schools will raise the effectiveness of our teams. A small investment in preventive care will reap large dividends in a healthier community.
