Lalmba was conceived in Eritrea in 1963. Despite wars and famines, Lalmba has continued our support of the people there since that founding date. The focus of our support is on the very poorest children, most of whom suffer not only the loss of parents, but physical disabilities as well.
Because of the political situation there, we are unable to send volunteers or directly provide services at this time; instead we support partners who perform this life-saving work in a country that largely shuns outside aid.
In spite of these obstacles, we continue to provide support for 30 orphans in the RCAR program, support 3 schools and help supply medicines for 2 health centers.
