Medical Services

Medical Care

East Africa is amongst the very poorest areas of the world. Millions of people have no access to clean water, the most basic latrines, adequate food or basic medical care. Thousands of small children die of severe malnutrition and pneumonia. 1 out of every 10 women will die in childbirth.

Lalmba operates medical clinics in Kenya and Ethiopia that provide over 100,000 life-saving medical services a year.

Clinics

Lalmba currently runs three primary clinics, two in Kenya and one in Ethiopia. In Kenya our facilities are located in the far south west corner, near the Tanzanian boarder. The Matoso Clinic is our largest facility in Kenya and offers full outpatient services. Our second clinic is in the remote villiage of Ochuna.  In Ethiopia, our clinic/hospital is located in the village of Chiri in the southern part of the country.

Health Education

Mobile Services

Since we work in some of the most remote and poorest parts of East Africa, not all of our patients are able to travel to our clinics. To help serve their needs we conduct regular outreach programs. These programs are designed to travel to those needing our help the most. Some of these outreach trips take many hours of walking to remote villages. Once there we offer a variety of medical services including: prenatal care, well-baby checks, immunizations, health education and other preventitive care.
